Why did you choose Stephen James over other companies?

I started as a temporary agency worker and was immediately made to feel welcome by everyone. I fitted in quickly and was offered a permanent role.

What advice would you give to a future applicant about Stephen James?

Don't burn bridges as the automotive industry can be a small world!

What keeps you at Stephen James?

Everything fits in with what's important to me: good people, flexibility, development, location and I have a great manager.

What is your favourite part of your job?

I enjoy all aspects of my job but especially our fun Monday meetings! Plus it is a great feeling finding a good candidate who is then hired.

How would you describe the people in your team in three words?

Hardworking, bizarre, fun and kind (4)!

The Stephen James Group was established in 1973 as a Used Car Dealer and in 1985 became an authorised BMW and MINI automotive retailer principally based in Enfield, North London. In 2006 the group grew with the acquisition of 3 dealerships in and around Kent. Now we operate five BMW and three MINI Centres located in Enfield, Woolwich, Bromley, Sidcup and a city retail outlet in Blackheath. In 2023, we became part of the Hedin Mobility Group.
