Why did you choose Stephen James over other companies?

I joined SJ when I was 18 and I didn't plan to be here for long! It wasn't a case of choosing over other companies, the job suited what I wanted at the time.

What advice would you give to a future applicant about Stephen James?

Try to do something to make you stand out from the crowd in a good way!

What keeps you at Stephen James?

The opportunity to progress has been a big factor since I joined. I also really enjoy the people I work with. Sometimes it doesn't feel like work.

What is your favourite part of your job?

Learning about people and trying to understand them.

How would you describe the people in your team in three words?

Genuine, hard-working, (a little bit) mad.

The Stephen James Group was established in 1973 as a Used Car Dealer and in 1985 became an authorised BMW and MINI automotive retailer principally based in Enfield, North London. In 2006 the group grew with the acquisition of 3 dealerships in and around Kent. Now we operate five BMW and three MINI Centres located in Enfield, Woolwich, Bromley, Sidcup and a city retail outlet in Blackheath. In 2023, we became part of the Hedin Mobility Group.
